With more than 20 years of experience developing software and leading development teams, I have been involved in coding in some form for most of my adult life, primarily around Microsoft technologies. After a brief stint on Pascal and Delphi in the late nineties, I moved to Visual Basic, then to .NET, going all the way through desktop and web development, until finding myself caught up with Mobile software, which is my primary stack at the moment. XAML is great for WinUI-based cross-platform apps… but it’s so hard to debug. In this talk, we’ll look at how to walk around these difficulties by leveraging C# for Markup, and how to use it to translate complex XAML into easily debuggable C# code.
