UI Patterns: A Practical Toolset
Where do UI designers get their ideas from, and how to they take those ideas and turn it into a polished user interface. Enter UI patterns: common UI conventions, interactions and layouts that are reused by UI designers across the field. We'll take look at examples of bad interfaces and transform them with intuitive UI patterns.

Jim leads the UX consulting and visual design for projects at Above the Fold. He is also a specialist in XHTML/CSS development, and has experience in building interaction designs using jQuery.
Jim graduated in 2005 from Rhode Island School of Design with a BFA in Graphic Design and a penchant for tinkering with the Web.
